The Slinging & Lifting Course
The Basic Slinging & Lifting Course is designed for the operator who requires skills training in slinging, lifting and controlling of loads being lifted by a crane or using manual lifting equipment such as chain blocks. It is also applicable to those experienced operators who require refresher training.
Categories
There are no categories of slinging course but as well as covering the generic standards for lifting and slinging, the course can be tailored to cover the operator’s specific use of lifting equipment and their environment such as:
• Using Tower / Mobile Cranes
• Using Overhead Cranes
• Using Chain Blocks (Fleeting / Rigging)
Duration
The duration of the course is dependent upon experience but may take 2 days with a maximum training ratio of 3 students to 1 instructor. (See Training Info).
Venue
Can be carried out at our training venue at South View Farm or at an employer’s premises. (Subject to the type and capacity of equipment).
Assessment
At the end of the course students will undergo a formal written test on all theoretical subjects covered and a practical assessment on their basic skills.
